Step 1 - Install the Lux app
Get started by installing Lux in your Jira Cloud instance. Simply visit the Atlassian Marketplace and search for “Lux”, or install directly from your Jira site via Apps → Manage apps → Find new apps. The app is completely free for teams with up to 10 users. For larger teams, you can evaluate it with a 30-day free trial.

Step 2 - Choose your automation
In your Jira automation, search for “Action Items” in the action list or click on “Custom actions” to find Lux’s predefined actions. Currently, we focus on Action Items automation, offering various options for managing them, such as adding new ones or completing checklists. Have ideas for more automation features? Add Action Items to your automation
Add Action Items to your Jira automation to automatically create and manage action items. This action allows you to create new action items with predefined templates, assign them to team members, and set due dates - all automatically triggered by your Jira automation rules.
Complete Action Items
Automatically mark action items as completed in your Jira automation. Choose between completing an entire action item list or use pattern matching to complete specific items - perfect for bulk updates or targeted automation. For example, complete all items from a specific meeting or only those assigned to a particular team.
Reset Action Items
Reset the status of action items in your Jira automation. You can reset all items in a list at once, or use pattern matching to reset only specific items that match your criteria. This is useful when you need to start fresh with a new iteration or reset specific items for a new cycle.
